Maria Theresa Vizconde-Roldan

Ms. Theresa has been the conductor of the Hail Mary the Queen Children’s Choir (HMtQCC) since its inception in 1999. their choir was declared the “first-ever” Children’s Choir of the World at the 67th Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in North Wales, United Kingdom and was also declared a Choir Olympic Champion in the 3rd World Choir Games in Bremen, Germany. Adjudicators at the 67th Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod called her a “magician” for bringing out an excellent balance of technical skills and artistic ideas rarely seen on children’s choir.
She currently teaches Conducting and Large Ensemble Class at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Conservatory of Music where she graduated Cum Laude with a degree of Bachelor of Music in Music Education, major in voice and a Masters Degree in Choral Conducting under the tutelage of Prof. Ricardo Mazo, Jr. and Rev. Fr. LeoNilo Mangussad.
She also serves on the faculty of the Ateneo de Manila University Junior High School as head of the Music Department. In 2010, the Distinguished Individual Achievement Award was given to her by the Ateneo de Manila High School Department and from 2002-2005, 2007, 2009-2014 she received the Eagle Award as Outstanding Teacher at the university.
One of the artistic board members Philippine Choral Directors Association (PCDA).
She has been an adjudicator in the National Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) and other choral and vocal competitions around the Philippines.
As a soloist, she has recorded 3 album of short sacred songs for healing produced by Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii.

Lester Delgado

He studied at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, major in Choral-Conducting under Prof. Ricardo Mazo, Prof. Herminigildo Ranera, Prof. Fidel Calalang and Rev. Fr. Nilo Mangussad. He finished his Masters Degree in Choral-Conducting at the St. Paul University Manila and graduated magna cum laude under the guidance of Prof. Eudenice Palaruan.
Lester is a faculty member of Centro Escolar University Conservatory of Music teaching Advance Counterpoint, Composition, Orchestration, Music Technology, Solfeggio and Choral Arranging Classes both in the Undergraduate and Graduate School. He conducts the Centro Escolar University Singers-Makati that recently won Gold Medals at the 3rd Bali International Choral Competition in Bali Indonesia last August 2014.
He also conducts the Philippine Tourism Chorale, the official choir of the Department of Tourism, Globe Voices of Globe Company and the Vocalismo Choral Group, a professional singing group whose members are mostly graduates of UST Conservatory of Music.
He is one of the founders of KOMPOSITOR, a group of Filipino Composers that promotes Filipino Choral Competition.
Lastly, knowing his mission in life, he composed Eight (8) Misa Delgado Books as his contribution to the development of Liturgical Music of the Catholic Church.

Eudenice V. Palaruan

Mr. Eudy’s life as a musician is traced back in the Philippine High School for the Arts, where his honed was honed by Andrea O. Veneracion. A seasoned chorister, he performed with the Philippine Madrigal Singers, the World Youth Choir, the Berlin Monteverdichor, and the Spandauer Kantorei under Martin Behrmann, among others.
As a conductor he directed the Ateneo de Manila College Glee Club, assistant conductor of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, director of the Asian Ensemble of the Asian Institute for Liturgy and Music, Gemischtenchor of Gemeinde Jagowstrasse Berlin, principal conductor of the San Miguel Master Chorale, current music director of the Union Church of Manila Chancel Choir, and resident conductor for the Las Pinas International Bamboo Organ Festival.

Rodolfo Delarmente

Professor Rodolfo Delarmente is a music teacher by profession. He is a composer, arranger and musical director of several choral groups Metro manila. Presently, he handles the DLSU Chorale, the St. Mary's Academy Glee Club of Pasay City, The RVM Sister's Chorus and the Sofitel Choir.
He hass served as consultant in different community and government choirs and has been invited as guest lecturer in different choral workshops in the Philippines and abroad. He also has been an adjucator in different choral competitions in the country.

Mark Anthony Carpio

Mr. Mark Anthony Carpio is recognized as one of the foremost choral music experts of his day. Mark graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Music with a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano cum laude in 1992. He immediately returned to the college as a facultymember of the Piano Department.
Starting out with the Madz as a tenor, he continued to grow in skill and dedication and is currently a faculty member of the college’s Choral Conducting Department.
In 2001, Mark was personally chosen by UP Madrigal Singers Founder and Philippine National Artist for Music Prof. Andrea O. Veneracion to succeed her reins as the choirmaster. Since then, he has led the group in its numerous successes, most notable of which were the: first prizes in the Habanera and Polyphony categories in the Certámen Internacional de Habaneras y Polifonia (Torrevieja, Spain, 2004), the Grand Prix in the 35th Florilege Vocal de Tours, France (2006), and the Grand Prize in the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing (Arrezo, Italy, 2007).
Mark also directs the Consortium of Voices, a choral society consisting of the Kilyawan Boys Choir, Kilyawan Male Choir and the Voces Auroræ Girls Choir.

Dr. Beverly Shangkuan-Cheng

Dr. Beverly Shangkuan-Cheng is Assistant Professor of Music at the University of the Philippines, where she teaches graduate and undergraduate conducting, choir, and music theory.
She is also the Music Director and Conductor of the Ateneo de Manila University College Glee Club, the UP Dawani Women’s Choir, and the New Millennium Sanctuary Choir.
Previously, she conducted the University of Michigan Residential College Singers (2011-2012) the University of Michigan Opera Chorus (2010-2011), the Yale University Church Choir (2009-2010), and the Yale Marquand Chapel Choir (2008-2009).
Her conducting and academic awards include the 2012 Levi Barbour Fellowship from the University of Michigan, the 2010 Phyllis Curtin Career Entry Award from the Yale School of Music, the 2010 Margot Fassler Award and the 2009 Hugh Giles Prize from the Yale Institute of Sacred Music.
In 2009, she won First Prize at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) National Graduate Conducting Competition, the most prestigious national conducting competition in the United States. Most recently, she was also invited to be a conducting fellow at the Chorus America National Choral-Orchestral Master Class in New York City.
She serves on the National Board of the Philippine Choral Directors Association.
Dr. Shangkuan-Cheng received a Bachelor of Music (summa cum laude) from the University of the Philippines, a Master of Music from the Yale School of Music and the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Michigan

Arwin Tan

Mr. Arwin is the choirmaster of Novo Concertante Manila, a 4-time “Ani ng Dangal” awardee from the National Commission for Culture and Arts for their achievements in international choral competitions, and was ranked no. 8 in the world by Interkultur and Musica Mundi, Germany in 2013.
He studied choral conducting and musicology at the University of the Philippines, College of Music, and graduated magna cum laude and valedictorian of class 2000.
He has sung with the Philippine Madrigal Singers from 1998-2002, under the late National Artist, Prof. Andrea O. Veneracion. He was awarded an “Ani ng Dangal” in 2013 for winning the Most Outstanding Conductor Award in the 2012 Asia Cantate International Choral Competition. Arwin served as the Chairman of the Choir Category at the 2014 National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA).
He is an Assistant Professor at the University of the Philippines College of Music, under the Department of Musicology. He has also been conferred the U.P. Artist Award for the years 2013-2015. He is currently the coordinator of the UP College of Music Extension Program.
Arwin is active in music research and he has published articles for the Scopus-indexed Humanities Diliman Journal, Saliksik E-Journal, Musika Jornal, CAS Review and the 2013 Proceedings of the International Council for Traditional Music Southeast Asian Conference. He has presented papers in national and international musicological conferences.

Anna Abeleda - Piquero

Mrs. Anna Tabita Abeleda-Piquero is a board member of the Philippine Choral Director’s Assocoation. She is an international choral clinician, juror, and one of the Philippine’s most sought after choral conductor. Her best known choirs are internationally acclaimed University of the East Chorale and the University of Visayas Chorale who won several top prizes in Europe and in Asia. She is also the conductor of the all male choir Koro Ilustrado who managed to become one of the most popular local male groups in the Philippines.
She received her choral training as a member and assistant conductor of the UP Singing Ambassadors under Mr. Edgardo Manguiat then afterwards as a singer and resident choral arranger of the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers (MADZ), under the direction of National Artist for Music, Andrea O. Veneracion.
2008 she was awarded best conductor at the 23rd Bela Bartok International Choir Competition and Festival in Debrecen, Hungary. 2010 She was a guest conductor for the Busan Metropolitan Chorus and the Asian Youth Choir 2010.
